Church News & Events
Ash Wednesday
Ash Wednesday is the beginning of the season of Lent, which is a time of 40 days set aside for reflection, renewal, and preparation for Good Friday and Easter Sunday. On Ash Wednesday, we confess the fragility of our lives and our dependence on God’s amazing grace. Ash Wednesday is February 22 this year, and we will observe the day with our sisters and brothers at Montgomery Presbyterian Church. We will join them in a shrimp-and-grits supper at 6 p.m. and a special service of worship at 7 p.m. Child care will be available. Montgomery Presbyterian Church is at 10192 Ferguson Avenue; for directions or more information, see their website.
Line Dancing Continues!
Every week, a spirited group of folks gathers in our Social Hall for exercise and fun! Join our Line Dancers every Monday evening at 5:15 p.m. for an hour or so of getting healthy. Ms. Susan will teach you everything you need to know. All ages and abilities welcome!
Join Us for Hearty Food and Fun at our Spaghetti Dinner!
All proceeds benefit our Tutoring Program!
On Thursday, March 1, from 5 – 7 p.m., we will sponsor a Spaghetti Dinner to benefit our Tutoring Program. Tickets are $6 for one and $10 for your whole family, and they can be purchased from the church office or at the door. Additional donations will be gratefully accepted, and all donations will support the 18 students in our Tutoring Program who are working hard with caring adults to do better in school!
