Throughout the year, we gather as a church family for special events to deepen our relationship with each other and with God. Some of our events, such as the Souper Bowl of Caring each February, are opportunities for us to serve our neighbors while we enjoy each other’s company. Other events, such as our Annual Meeting Covered Dish Lunch each November, help us involve the whole congregation in doing the business of the church. Still other events, such as our Church Family Picnic in May, are simply opportunities to have fun together.
During the summer, we gather on the lawn in front of the sanctuary every Wednesday night for our Sizzlin’ Summer Suppers. The Fellowship Committee provides a simple meal of grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, and everyone is encouraged to bring a side dish. After supper, we close our day with a brief vespers service.
