Clergy and Professional Staff
Pastor: Rev. Eric Beene
Eric has served as Pastor of White Bluff Presbyterian Church since 2006. Previously, he served as the pastor of a small, urban congregation in Boston, Massachusetts. Prior to attending seminary, he worked for a non-profit community development organization in Portland, Oregon. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Communication from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon, and his Master of Divinity Degree from Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. His wife, Mary, is Pastor of Faith Presbyterian Church in Rincon, Georgia, and his son, Isaac, is four years old.
Director of Music: Maaja Roos
Besides leading the White Bluff Presbyterian Church Chancel Choir and serving as our Organist, Maaja works as the Upper School Choral Director at Savannah Country Day School. Previously, she has directed choral instruction at schools and universities in Utah and New York City. She has advanced degrees in Conducting, Piano Performance, and Organ Performance.
Secretary: Ann Linton
Ann has lived in Savannah most of her life, and has served as Secretary at White Bluff Presbyterian Church since 1993. She has a background in bookkeeping and administrative work for a variety of businesses, from a children’s dentist to a painting contractor. Ann has three grown sons and two grandsons.
Nursery Supervisor: Theresa Lynn
Theresa oversees our nursery for infants and toddlers during worship, choir rehearsals, and special events, and assists with our pre-school Sunday School class. She has many years of experience working with children in a variety of settings, including as a trainer for babysitters with the American Red Cross.
Bell Choir Director: Sondra Peck
Sondra has directed the White Bluff Presbyterian Church Chancel Bells since 1998, and has participated as a bell ringer since the group started. Before she retired, she worked as a teacher and education paraprofessional. She is also a singer and plays the French Horn.
Organist Emeritus: Mary Robinson
Mary served as Organist for White Bluff Presbyterian Church for over 50 years. Besides her skills on the organ, Mary also plays piano in a variety of styles, from honky tonk to sacred music. She enjoys leading and accompanying our children for Sunday School.
